Coaching Supervision

We do not learn from experience. We learn from reflecting on experience.
— John Dewey

Hi, I am Claudia, your coaching supervisor.

These days I wear many hats. First and foremost, I am a Positive Coaching Psychologist (Graduate Member of the BPS) and a Senior Practitioner Coach (EMCC). I have had the honour of facilitating more than 800 hours of 1:1 coaching. My work is dedicated to help create a positive shift towards a regenerative future that will allow many future generations to enjoy our planet and all it’s wondrous inhabitants.

I believe coaches and coaching supervisors play a pivotal role in that shift.

Work with me for Positive Supervision

  • I offer coaches a reflective space where Positive Psychology meets coaching supervision, extending an invitation to work from your strengths, learn from what is going well and create a coaching practice that brings joy, flow and meaning - to you and your clients.

  • Wellbeing is essential for good and ethical coaching practice and is often overlooked in supervision. Together, we will monitor your psychological and emotional health as a coach, while ensuring highest wellbeing for your clients.

  • The complex challenges of our times require systemic perspectives. I bring systemic awareness and utilise tools like the 7-eyed model for supervision to help coaches expand their perspective and consider individual, relational, organisational, cultural and planetary perspectives in their work.

  • I have deep theoretical and applied expertise in outdoor coaching and have published my Master’s thesis research in the Journal of Ecopsychology. I love supporting coaches who work with or in nature or want to build their confidence as an outdoor coach.

  • I work climate-informed and draw from climate and ecopsychology in my practice. I supervise coaches who identify as climate coaches or work with clients in the climate, social justice or NGO space who might struggle with the impact of climate emotions.

  • Multicultural work environments have been my home for over 20 years through my work in corporate tech. As a German living and working in Ireland, I bring a multicultural lens to my work. I support coaches working with clients from different cultural backgrounds to create a safe space of mutual understanding and curious inquiry.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • I am a Coaching Psychologist and graduate member of the BPS, a Senior Practitioner Coach accredited with the EMCC and I hold a Primary Certificate in Coaching Psychology Supervision from the Centre for Coaching. I have over 800 hours of 1:1 coaching experience as an independent coach in private practice. I fulfill the requirements for supervision if you are working towards coaching accreditation with the EMCC or the Association for Coaching.

  • My work is grounded in evidence-based practices from Positive and Coaching Psychology and as such I work confidently with strengths-based, cognitive-behavioural and solution-focused approaches, appreciative enquiry, all with a focus on human flourishing end wellbeing. I utilise common supervision models like the 7-eyed model and love to bring creative, visual and bodywork into my practice.

  • My supervision style has been described as warm and welcoming, with a non-judgmental yet brave way of inquiry that gets to the crux of an issue quickly. I may add that I also like to bring a pinch of humour.

  • I believe supervision is an essential part of ethical practice and an important catalyst for coach learning and development. Full-time coaches may benefit from a monthly space purely due to case load. Part-time coaches may need less frequent supervision. Wherever you are, we will design this space so it fits your own practice and is in alignment with the requirements of your accrediting body. Let’s have a chat.

  • I fulfil the requirements to supervise coaches working towards or maintaining accreditation with the EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council) and the Association for Coaching and follow their code of ethics.

“Claudia is great at holding space throughout the session - bringing in movement & nature easily into an online session where we were both inside. Her supervision style is both curious and direct which is a great combination. She makes sure you’re getting what you need from your supervision session. I took away to focus on this season of me as a coach - as we’re coming into Spring, I have numerous ideas and reflecting after the session, I want to focus on planting seeds for a different type of client to work with as part of my coaching practice.”

— Aoife Mollin, Leadership Coach
